Before you book.
The practical details behind a professionally run wedding tattoo experience.
Does checking a date reserve it?
No. Availability is informational until Married In Ink accepts the booking and the required booking steps are completed.
What is required to secure the date?
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure the date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event.
What is the difference between All Inclusive and Non-Inclusive?
With All Inclusive packages, guests do not pay for their tattoos. With Non-Inclusive packages, guests are required to pay for their own tattoos during the event.
How accurate are the guest-capacity estimates?
They are estimates only. Actual totals vary based on tattoo size, placement, design complexity, guest preparedness, and how efficiently the queue moves.
Can everyone who wants a tattoo be guaranteed one?
No. Tattooing ends at the scheduled end time regardless of how many guests remain in line. Guests who join the queue late are not guaranteed a tattoo.
How does the tattoo queue work?
Tattooing is first-come, first-served unless another arrangement is approved in advance. Wedding-party members may receive priority placement when the wedding party is finalized beforehand.
What can guests choose from?
Tattoos are selected from a pre-approved flash sheet designed for efficient event tattooing. Custom requests during the event are not guaranteed, and artists may simplify or decline designs that do not fit the event requirements.
Who can be tattooed?
Clients must be 18 or older and present valid government-issued ID. Intoxicated guests and pregnant clients will not be tattooed. Artists may refuse service for safety, health, time, paperwork, or quality concerns.
What does the venue need to provide?
The tattoo area must be clean and safe with reliable electricity, adequate lighting, access to running water or a handwashing station, at least a 10' × 10' workspace per artist, and a table plus two chairs per artist unless otherwise arranged.
Can you tattoo outdoors?
Potentially, at artist discretion. The tattoo area must be protected from rain, excessive wind, direct sunlight, and unsafe temperatures. Artists may pause, relocate, or stop tattooing if conditions become unsafe.
How long does setup and breakdown take?
Setup and breakdown are included in the booking price. Artists typically need 30–60 minutes before the event for setup and 30–60 minutes after for breakdown. Tattooing time begins at the scheduled start time.
Are touch-ups included?
Event tattoos do not include complimentary touch-ups unless otherwise specified.
Can the couple get tattooed?
Yes. The bride and groom receive one complimentary tattoo each, up to a $150 value. Time spent tattooing the couple counts toward the booked tattooing hours.
Can our wedding party get priority?
Yes, when the wedding party is defined and approved beforehand. It may receive tailored flash and priority queue placement, and must be finalized at least 30 days before the event.
Is overtime available?
At artist discretion. Overtime is $150 per 30 minutes, per artist, and is billed in 30-minute increments.
What happens if we cancel or reschedule?
Retainers are non-refundable. Rescheduling is subject to artist availability, and requests made within 30 days of the event are not guaranteed.
What happens if my date is pending?
You can join the date watch list. If the date becomes available again, the system can notify you automatically. You can also check another date without losing the original watch.
Do you travel?
Yes. Travel pricing depends on artist count, drive time, and out-of-state requirements. Final travel pricing is confirmed from the venue location.
Can you use our wedding photos?
Only according to the media permissions you choose. Media consent is kept separate from the general inquiry acknowledgement.
